Health Sciences

This program explores the vast career opportunities and career pathways within the Health Science field. First year students are introduced to core requirements of any health care field including Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Human Growth & Development, Pathophysiology, and Exercise Science, with a focus on developing critical thinking, professional and legal responsibilities, and business skills. Guest speakers are an essential part of the program. In the second level of the program, students receive more in-depth study of the above and have the opportunity to receive on-the-job experiences at local facilities. Students who wish to pursue nurse assistant certification will have the requirements necessary to sit for the state licensing examination by the end of the school year.

NOTE: Prior to participating in the clinical experience students will incur some costs relating to their personal health records and required uniforms.
