mankind. The student should be known
for additional characteristics of caring and friendliness. The intention of this scholarship is to
reward a student whose service to others stands out as an example for other
students. Please include an essay that discusses your contributions to the community, what they have meant to you and your goals for the future. Albert Dow was a KRHS graduate who gave his life in rescuing two teenagers who were lost in a blizzard on Mt. Washington in 1982. Mr. Dow was a member of the elite Mountain Rescue Services, and the Granite Man Triathlon is annual event organized in his memory to raise funds for this scholarship. |

of our scholarships. We offer a variety of scholarship grants geared toward
full-time students enrolled in 2- or 4- year college degree programs, as well
as certain programs offered by accredited trade and technical institutions.Candidates
should demonstrate promise of academic success, as well as require financial
assistance. Once awarded, a McDonough
Scholar may apply for additional grants for up to four years at the college
undergraduate bachelor degree level. The grants are renewable contingent upon
completion of the renewal application, maintenance of academic standards, the
continued need for financial aid, and attending an annual interview with one
of our board members. All candidates must be recommended by the golf club where they have been employed for a minimum of two seasons. Please note that these employees can be entering their second season of employment this Winter/Spring when applying, provided they complete their second year of service at their course by this Fall when scholarships are awarded. |
